UNISON is currently in consultation with it's branches over a framework for further negotiations for both the Local Government and NHS pension schemes. Contrary to what has been said in the press this is not a "deal" this is a potential framework for negotiations.

If we agree to this framework this does not prevent further industrial action if talks fall apart, nor would a new strike ballot have to be called as the initial dispute is on-going.

If the framework is rejected it would mean that the only way forward would be further industrial action.
