UNISON and the TUC have produced a joint report called "Don’t forget the spending cuts!
The real impact of Budget 2010" by Tim Horton (Fabian Society) and Howard Reed (Landman Economics). The report shows that the Governments budget is very regressive hitting low income families the hardest. The Government claimed the budget was progressive because of how it dealt wit...h taxes and benefits, but what it did not take into account was how public spending cuts would negatively effect low paid families the worsed as they are more dependent on public services.
